Do people still send holiday cards? Or is it holiday emails now?

Are holiday cards outdated? Should we be sending emails? If not, is there a cheap way to do holiday cards?

I LOVE to send and receive holiday cards! I decorate with them too.
I am a crafty gal so I make my own cards to send out. I work on them all year long because it can be a daunting task to do it all at once, especially being a student and having 2 little ones. I am on email and snail mail lists for Joann's, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby so I get coupons ALL the time. Starting in January, I am out using those coupons for card making supplies. I've gotten lots of compliments on them over the years and it makes me feel good knowing that I personally made something for every friend and family member even if I couldn't afford to buy them a fancy gift.

I send e-mail cards for non holiday events like thinking of you, or missing you, or here's a smile, blah blah blah. I love cards that have a dual purpose. Last year i bought biodegradable cards that came with envelopes made with recycled paper, but it also had a paper card on it that you could plant and grow flowers from. My mom in law and daughter in law loved theirs.

But to save money i always buy them in the after season sales and send them out next year.

I love sending holiday cards. Last year we did the professional ones from the photo studio with kiddos pics on them and a personal message. They are expensive so I send those to family and important friends, everyone else gets a xmas card. I send them to all my doctors, dentist, and my daughters doctor. Lets them know we appreciate them for all they do and keep us healthy..I have never send an email card!

I don't think holiday cards are outdated. I love to send and receive them. I usually get a couple of boxes of cards from the DOLLAR TREE store (everything is a dollar). Most of the time the insides are blank, so you can write what you want to each family.
