a new coat of paint and some flowers does wonders. You are talking about the one you're moving out of right?

Me personally I would start with an accent wall. What is your taste. Just figure out what works for you. Good luck show us some pictures please!!!

Looking to the house we are moving in to, something to make it look pretty, right now there is just our paiting starry night and family portait and thats it really. I just want the living room to look warm and inviting if that makes sense.

Thanks Joanna for the site ill check it out.

Are you looking to 'stage' these rooms for a new buyer? Or are you referring to the house you're moving into?

I get a lot of my inspirations from the paint cards at Home Depot and Lowe's. I would start with a fresh coat of paint and go from there. I also get a lot of inspiration from IKEA. I I love how they have sample living rooms, dinning rooms, kitchens etc, etc., each decorated in a different style.

Flea markets, thrift stores, consignment shops, craiglist and freecycle are great places to find inexpensive things to decorate with.
