Hi all! I am always looking for ways to save money. In the area of employment my husband is in there are constant lay offs. The last lay offs went through all of our savings as well as all of our food storage. I am now trying to start again, only to get hit with something to get fixed. I know that every little bit helps but in the current economic "crisis" I get worried.

If you have a baby in Diapers and are willing to spend 5 min every week or 2 you can make your own wipes- just 1 small thing. Buy Brawny or Scott paper towels on sale and generic Baby wash and Baby oil and these wipes come out to less than 1cent each- the other brands are up to 7 or 8 and who really only uses one most of the time.

cut the paper towel roll in half with an electric knife (the one you carve your roast/turykey with)

In a measuring cup mix 1- 1 1/4 c. Hot water with 2 tsp baby oil and 2 tsp baby bath.

Pour over your paper towels and let sit for 15 min- use. I store mine in old wipe containers from when we bought ours.
