I don't try to keep up "The Jones". I combined my two daughters' birthday parties, since they were both born in January, and went to the Dollar Store to buy invitations. I always cut corners like this while they are young, because I know they will get more expensive in the later years.

Great idea.  and besides kids really don't care as long as they can party.  As for invitations, lately we have been getting everything on Evite, so we are not the only ones saving money!!!
