Is Cost Co worth it?

I thinking about getting a Cost Co member ship. Specifically for things like formula and diapers. But I really don't want to stitch my 6 month olds formula again. We just finished switching her to target brand. Do they have name brand diapers? Or just the cost co brand? Is it worth the membership fee for my family of 3?

HI!
We LOVE Costco- we have 6 in our family so, obviously, it is more applicable to us, but they have lots of things that adults would love. They also are good about having things broken down in smaller packaging inside a bulkier box of product. For example, you purchase a big box of pretzel sticks, and they have four individual bags inside so that it won't all go stale right away. THey have lots of products like this. Canned foods, organic chicken broth- (for a GREAT price)- organic PB, also two smaller containers, not one huge one. They do carry Huggies diapers and wipes as well as Isomil- I think? You may want to check on which name brand they use for formula. BUT, their name brand products (Kirkland brand) are superior to LOTS of other generics I have tried.
I can understand if you want to wait until/if your family gets a bit bigger, but like I said, I wouldn't doubt my husband and I will still have a membership when it is just the 2 of us! Great value!! Hope this helps!

yes i think cost co saves our family a TON of money they have their own brand Members Mark but they also have the name brand stuff. The membership is only 40 bucks and if you go half with a friend its only 20. Try to find one that has a gas station in it as well i always fill up there to get the best gas in town.

I would look at Amazon.com/subscribeandsave and see if they have what you're looking for. Shipping is free and you can schedule how often you want diapers delivered to your door. If you start running out before you the next scheduled date you can have them ship immediately and either skip the next shipment or adjust the shipping date. I love amazon.com/subscribeandsave because it saves me tons of money in the long run. No impulse purchases!

Beyond worth it! I was lucky enough to be helping provide care for my grandfather when I became pregnant so my grandmother added me to her memberships for costco and sams club (since you pay for two people regardless and my grandfather could no longer use them)

The sell Huggies for the name brand but their store brand is FANTASTIC! My son went through 6 different brands (including the special bleach free eco-friendly things) and could only use pampers, my sis gave me some of the costco brand to try and he wasnt allergic and it ended up saving me almost half of what I was spending on diapers! The costco here also carries alot of organic and specialty foods which is nice. Sometimes produce is hit or miss but if you go often you learn the cycles to get the best fresh fruits. Their bakery section is amazing too. While I was pregnant they also had a top-of-the-line jogger stroller for half price because the manufacturer was disconituing that color. They have name-brand baby clothes anywhere from $2-$20 cheaper depending on what it is and the brand. Check out the website. Periodically they offer a free one-day pass to go in look around and shop.

Also a food-saver (vacuum sealer) is a life saver or great tupperware!

If all you bought at Costco was diapers, the membership would still pay for itself. They sell Huggies at nearly half price.

I don't have a costco near here, but I do have a BJ's membership. there it's $35 for a year, and both me & my husband get a card. They do have pampers & huggies & luvs there, and it's MUCH cheaper than getting them at the grocery store. they also have cases of baby food etc. I get a 3 pack of Pillsbury pizza dough for $3.00, sometimes less if I have coupons, and at the supermarket they;re at least $2 each. I also buy hamburger there, it's pretty cheap, and use my foodsaver when I get home. They also allow you to use a BJ's coupon & a manufacturer's coupon on the same item. I also hear that the costco brand is just as good if not better than the national brands. I saw a guy on Oprah who did an experiment and only bought stuff @ costco & BJ's for 6 mos, he bought clothes, food etc only there, and saved a ton!!
