I am a goodwill, yardsale, clearance pro! You wouldn't know it by looking at my childrens woredrobes though. How do I do this? I keep up with the yardsale adds in the weekly paper, choose goodwill over the mall, and head straight to the clearance racks in every store first thing. I try to do a couple yardsales ea. year which I have done well in profit. I like to keep a portion of this profit back for my yardsale/goodwilling addiction. The other part I attempt to keep for seasonal clearance in which I like to buy ahead a season as it is going out of season. For ex. All of the summer clothes of this past summer are on clearance for next to nothing. I like to take around a hundred buck and go early summer shopping now for next summer for my two kids. If you can afford more then take advantage of these deals as much as possible. You can easily get around 5-10 things for the price you will pay for them next season once they hit the shelves at full price. Try it out and let me know how it goes for you or if you know of other great ways. Oh yeah, I love ebay too!

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

I would love to be that disciplined with my shopping. Those are great tips. I have always shopped consignment shops and clearance. But, I rarely get to Goodwill, but, I think I will start making the trip. I have 3 kids to shop for, 2 growing boys and 1 girl. The boys are 11 and almost 14 so they are growing so fast. I am lucky to have a couple of friends that give me clothes for the boys which I am so thankful for!! I love ebay also!!

Forgot to mention before, for those who havent been, goodwill isnt just full of old worn out clothes. I find tons of name brands for both my kids that are like new and only pay what the original owner paid in tax on it. For ex. tons of old navy, limited too, justice, abercrombie, hollister, ect.
