One way that my family saves money is by making our own laundry soap. It saves tons of money I make a five gallon bucket for roughly $3.00. I couldn't believe how much laundry soap I was going through after we had a baby not just how much we were going through but how much money was going down the drain (literally). It doesn't take but 15 min or so to make so to me it is well worth the money saved.

I just started doing this... I was shocked at easy it was and how cheap!  So far I cannot tell a difference between the store bought stuff and what I made!
