**INSTEAD OF BUYING NAMEBRAND ITEMS, BUY THE OFFBRAND! EXACT SAME THING, JUST A DIFFERENT LABEL. AND OF COURSE THE OFFBRAND IS ALWAYS CHEAPER.

**USE COUPONS. WHEN I WAS LITTLE I USED TO BE EMBARASSED WHEN IN THE CHECKOUT LINE MY MOM WOULD WHIP OUT A HUGE WAD FULL OF COUPONS. NOW THAT IM A MOM, I'M THINKING SHE WAS ONE SMART WOMAN!...AND WHETHER MY CHILDREN ARE EMBARASSED OR NOT, WELL HOPEFULLY THEY WILL BE WRITING THIS SAME THING AS THEY ARE OLDER!

**TAKE A LIST THAT YOUVE MADE IN ADVANCE; WHEN YOU GET TO THE STORE, DONT BUY ANYTHING EXTRA WHICH IS NOT ON THE LIST. WHEN MAKING A LIST, KEEP IT ON THE FRONT OF FRIDGE AND ADD TO IT WHENEVER YOU COME ACROSS SOMETHING U NEED THE WEEK BEFORE YOU GO TO THE STORE.

**IF NEEDING BREAD/BAKERY ITEMS, THERE IS USUALLY A 'DAY-OLD' RACK YOU CAN CHOOSE FROM. THE PRICES ARE MARKED WAY DOWN AND THE ITEMS ARE STILL GOOD.

**STICK TO BUYING VEGGIES AND FRUITS WHICH ARE IN SEASON, OTHERWISE THEY ARE MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE.

**IF BUYING ITEMS WHICH ARE PRE-PACKAGED, OR PRE-DICED, ETC. TRY AND STAY AWAY FROM THESE. IN MOST CASES, YOU CAN BUY ALL THE INGREDIENTS AND MAKE IT YOURSELF AT HOME FOR CHEAPER, AND STILL HAVE THE INGREDIENTS LEFT OVER TO MAKE MORE FOR THE NEXT TIME.

**IF BUYING FORMULA, OUR WALMART HERE HAS PARENTS CHOICE (THE OFFBRAND) THE TOP BRANDS AND YOUR BABY WILL NEVER KNOW THE CHANGE.

**IF YOU THINK YOU MUST HAVE THE GALLON JUG OF CHOCOLATE MILK, CONSIDER JUST BUYING A BOTTLE OF HERSHEYS CHOCOLATE SYRUP AND ADDING IT TO MILK. THIS IS CHEAPER, LASTS LONGER, AND YOU CAN CONTROL HOW MUCH OR LITTLE CHOCOLATE YOU WANT IN YOUR MILK...THIS HELPS, THIS WAY MY KIDS ARENT DRINKING PURE CHOCOLATE(YUCK) OUT OF THE PREMADE-JUG.

**AND OF COURSE ONE OF MY FAVES--MAKE YOUR OWN EGG NOODLES AT HOME INSTEAD OF BUYING THEM. THEY ARE SUPER SUPER SIMPLE TO MAKE AND, PERSONALLY I THINK THEY TASTE BETTER...AND BETTER YET YOU CAN MAKE HUGE BATCHES FOR SUPER CHEAP.

If you live in an rural area, look for farmers' markets and orchards. The prices are usually cheaper and the produce is fresher.

**ALSO TO SAVE MONEY IN OTHER AREAS, TURN YOUR THERMOSTAT DOWN TO 65 PERHAPS INSTEAD OF 72.

**MAKE SURE THINGS WHICH ARE NOT BEING USED ARE UNPLUGGGED.

**IF YOU HAVE CABLE, PERHAPS SHUT IT OFF OR EVEN JUST GET THE BASIC CHANNELS-YOU WILL STILL HAVE TV, AND YOUR MONTHLY BILL WILL BE WAY LESS.

**GROW A GARDEN THIS SUMMER IN THE GROUND ((OR IN POTS ON YOUR FRONT PORCH)). THIS WAY YOU CAN GROW ALL THE VEGGIES, FRUITS YOU LIKE AND WONT HAVE TO BUY THEM. THEY WILL BE THERE WHEN YOU NEED THEM.

**ALSO IF YOU NEED FRUITS, APPLES, PEARS, CHERRIES, PEACHES, ETC, ETC AND YOU DONT HAVE THE TREE. LOOK AROUND YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD FOR A TREE; WHEN YOU FIND ONE ASK THE OWNER AND MORE TIMES THAN NOT THEY HAVE PICKED IT PREVIOUS YEARS AND ARE ALREADY STOCKED UP OR TIRED OF PICKING THEM.

Also, use leftovers. I used to hate leftovers but now with the economy getting so bad, Ive learned they arent so bad after all. This helps save a whole meal's worth of money!

there are several recipes you can use to make egg noodles, however they are just about all the same, give or take an ingredient. i also like substituting wheat/and or rye flour also to make the noodles a little more healthy for you and actually taste very good!! you can type in homemade egg noodles into the search bar and the recipes will come up. or....http://www.cooks.com/rec/search/0,1-0,homemade_egg_noodles,FF.html
