i am a stay at home mom of 2 and we just bought a new house. our mortgage is fairly low and we are good at budgeting our money so our bills are always paid. however that doesn't leave much for the rest of the things we need to buy and we never have any to save. i don't mind clipping coupons however i can rarely find any for the products that i want or need. and printing my own doesn't make any sense to me...ink is expensive so how much am i spending for ink to print off a 25 cent coupon? does anyone have any advice for me on saving on my grocery bills. i do buy generic whenever possible and i stock up when there are BOGO sales. we don't have a big selection of stores here...i liked the link on the couponmom.com site for not clipping coupons...you load coupons onto a shoppers club card...however none of the store that participate are near me. i live in NY and most of the stores were in the south. also i am a free sample freak so if anyone has anymore sites to add i would appreciate that too. i currently use shop4freebies.com
mommysavesbig.com
heyitsfree.net
thanks in advance for any advice:)

Walmart.com has free samples. Also some grocery stores will allow you to buy by the case and deliver to your home. I know Meijers does this. Don't forget about Walgreens and CVS for grocery items. Watch the sale ads and combine with coupons, sometimes you can even get items free or just for pennies.

Personally I cannot ever find coupons for the items I need, or the store brand is just cheaper even with the coupon. For me the way I save money is to cook from scratch, use all leftovers and when I find a good price stock up so that I almost never have to pay full price.

walmart will match competitors prices if you take a sales ad in for certain products.

I try to collect as many airmiles as possible and redeem them for gift cards. You may not be able to redeem for grocery stores but if you redeem for fuel, they money you save on fuel can be used for grocery bills or other things. Also great for christmas gifts to make the holidays a little easier.

Hi Dawn,

I have found a fantastic wholesale green company that you are able to save a lot of money on everyday products without having to clip coupons. One example is there bathroom cleaner ~ costs @ $1.00 vs $3.00 for tilex (and works better without toxic fumes). Another is their laundry detergent $30 for 192 load VS. $62 for 192 loads with Tide! My son had contact dermatitis from using Tide but when I switched stores his full body rash went away!!

Plus you get up to $100 free in products during the first 5 months of shopping, and they deliver to your doorstep! All of their products have a 60 money back guarentee.

Let me know if you would like more information, I just love this store!
