I have a retirement question and just wanted your input. Me and the dh are looking at some life insurance policies options. I wanted to know if $1,400 per month is enough to support me and kids if anything happened to him (God forbid). The house/mortgage would be paid off so I wouldn't have that expense.

I agree with the other ladies. Look at your life style, kids ages, food and possibly emergencies. You never know when one my occur.

I think there are alot of variables in there, age of kids, are you wanting to maintain the current life style? what are you spending now? what is the average of your household bills, and your normal food budget? So for Me yes I can live within $1,400 a month easily no questions asked others may not it all depends on the person and their circumstances

I would have to say no. Would you have a car expense? What about groceries? Gas? Things the kids need?
