People know I save change for our vacations. I am a waitress and I have customers who will go and get change to give me for a tip so that I will use it for vacation.

I have been saving my change for years and dividing it up between my childrens' savings accounts it's a great way to save for their future. I also save any money they get as gifts, they usually get plenty of presents & don't need another one. So far the older 2 have good savings they will be able to use for things ike drivers ed, prom, & college.

I do this too! Some banks even help you do it when you use a debit card and put it in a savings account for you. Mine doesn't so I can just do it when I use cash to pay.

We use our spare change for spending money for our vacations. Especially with the kids.

This is an excellent suggestion. My sister & her husband do this all year long then take a vacation with the change they've saved.
