I cash in on my daughters outgrown clothing by participating in the consignment stores selling methods. It is far better than trying to sell them at garage sales! Also, I buy mostly consigned clothing....looking for tags that are original (maybe not designed in this country for example) and also for the original price tags...because they haven't even been worn...sometimes I end up re-selling the garment for more than I originally paid - sweet.

My son has worn 2nd hand clothes his whole life (I do too). Checking stores in the more expensive parts of town always pays off. I get like new stuff, usually brand name for just a few dollars a piece. Once he outgrows them (usually doesn't take too long), I resell them at consignment or on craigslist and just about break even. It's great!
