I just wanted to throw some suggestions out there for all the single moms who are like me, and constantly worry about money. I have figured out many things you can do with your children that doesn't cost a lot, if any thing at all.

When the weather is nice out, I usually take my kids to the park. They love this, and it costs absolutely nothing. There is so much to do there. They have open fields, playground equipment, volleyball courts, and some even have what they like to call a "kiddie pool". Trust me, it can make hours of fun for your children.

I also like to have one night a week that I like to call "family night". This is when we either rent a movie, (from redbox...its only $1), find one on on-demand, (it's free), or play games that we have at home. They enjoy it, and so do I. This idea comes in handy during the cold months, and rainy days when they can't really go outside to play. You'll be surprised what really entertains your kids.

I also let some of their friends come over and play, and vise versa. This is like a bonus for my kids. They love being around their friends, and I love to see them happy. Their friends are also over sometimes when we play games and watch movies together.

Here are some ideas of what you can do that costs little money:
-Take them swimming. At the gym we go to its only $6 per person, and the lake is only $4 a car
full. This is hours and hours of fun for the whole family.
-Take them bowling. If its 3 of you, I know the cost is usually around $25 for shoes and a game or
2.
-Take them to eat and play at McDonalds. Trust me this sounds really cheesy, but its highly
entertainable for the kids...and cheap to do. You can also take a crossword or magazine to keep
you intertained ;)
-Take them to a skating rink. You would not believe the fun they have their. And you can even join
in.
-and this one sounds really really nuts, but my kids love it. Have them help you clean the house, or
make dinner. This cracks me up every time. and believe it or not, they actually enjoy it. I think its
because it makes them feel grown or something...either way, its hillarious!

I hope this helps all single moms like its helped me. You don't have to spend a lot of money to have fun with your kids, and you don't have to worry so much about the money you do spend =)
