My favorite store is Barnes and Nobles. For years I would go in and purchase 3-5 books at a time...spending way too much money. Now I reserve books at my local library online and I even take out audio books and download them to my ipod.



I listen to books while I clean and cook or do dishes. I can go through three books a week and it didn't cost me a dime! I love it and I stay up to date with all the NYT's best selling list. I still go to Barnes and Nobles, but it's to enjoy a cup of coffee at Starbucks and make lists of books that I want to read or listen to.



I've been doing this for the past year with having a toddler...I rather spend my money on him.

Lisset, you can download the audio books just like a cd of music except they are chapters.

I love the library. Another idea there is to put movies on hold too! I do it online and they give me a call when they come in. We have no need to watch the movies as they come out, we are patient enough to wait.....and it costs nothing! They have new releases, kids movies, classics....a lot to choose from.

That is what I did last year, I bought a lot of good books that would have probably been expensive at the store, for only 25cents up to 1 dollar. Yard saling is extrememly fun.

I do the same thing, i get so much house work done when i have a audio. and they are great for long car trips or picking up kids from their activies. I don't even mine if they take their time coming out, in fact i sometimes hope they do so i can enjoy by book or audio. Another great place to get books are garage sales. you can get them pretty cheap and in good condition.

I love Barnes & Noble, but books are expensive. That's actually a very good idea! My mom just got me an ipod for my birthday. How could you download audio books onto it??
