I'll give you three things we do to save:

Grocery Shopping-I price match and pair sales with coupons. I save on average of 15 dollars per shopping trip (once weekly for us) this way. That is about 60 a month!

I figure I can learn to do just about anything if I am willing and I learned how to cut my son's hair. I actually get compliments on it all the time! People ask where I take him. I just smile.

We have a nice children's consignment clothing shop in Houston and I buy a lot of my kids clothes there. I can find brand new clothes with tags still on for 1/3 the price or lower. I found an outfit for my daughter the other day that had original tags, priced at 24 dollars. I paid 4. Can't beat it!

My boyfriend cuts our daugther's hair as well.  Def. a good savings. 



When I first read what you wrote I thought you said you only spent $15 a week, I was like that's just amazing, but then I saw that you save and that's great too!  We like to do the buy one, get one specials they have at our grocery stores, especially when it comes to meat and box foods such a crackers and stuff.

Those are some great ideas!  When my children were little now they are 5 and 8 I cut their hair as well to save money.... now they are more opinionated and I can't do their trendy cuts anymore. 



Another thing I did was sell at a consignment shop.  I would keep my kids clothes real neat (hard to do that now with an 8 yr. old soccer loving boy!) and I would make money on their clothes once it was too small for them.  I then would take that money and put it in a "clothing fund" envelope and would hit the outlet mall.  I would purchase winter clothing in the summer and vise versa.  It was a great way to stretch our dollar.
