I brown bag my lunch every day. I do not go to the starbucks or dunkin doughnuts. I try not to spend money. Small savings goes a long way. You spend 3.00 a day on coffe, 15/week that is 60/month and 720 per year you saved.

If you can spend less and earn some extra money, I think you will live a better life.
For saving money, you can try to cut your expense in many ways:
1. use coupons & deals when you shop online.
2. Set savings goals and try to trim your expenses.
3. pay for everything with cash, instead of credit cards.
4. avoid using cars too often.

For earn some extra money, here are ways:
1. be a freelance writer and sell your words.
2. Sell goods on eBay and etc.
3. Do product reviews on Squidoo, hubpages, or other revenue-sharing article sites.
4. Share coupons and earn rewards on coupon sites. You can get 55 cents if the coupon you share is confirmed. More info. can be found at http://www.couponsnapshot.com/community/...
5. Sell your creativity if you are good at creating beautiful things.

Good luck! :)

Go to your bank and meet with their financial planner - it's free and will help you to plan.

Even when i had nothing, we were really poor in our 20's i always saved $25.00 per month into an investment account. just something, just save something and lock it up...it came out automatically from my checking account with each pay and went into an investment i had with the bank and over the years it has really added up. every little bit counts, just don't touch it forget about it and let it accumulate.

What I am going to do is when I start online schooling in a couple weeks is set aside some loose coins for each accomplishment. Each assignment is worth a different coin values, the lowest being worth a penny, and the biggest being a dollar coin.

Start small like Lynn said. It's not how much money you make it is what you do with it. Make sure your basic needs (food & shelter) are met and then save your money, even $10 or $25 a month makes a difference. If you want to buy something make sure it is what you need. Clip coupons or buy bulk whenever you can. Soon you will have some money saved before you know it. Good luck!

I would coupon, check to see if your local stores have double coupons. Check to see if you qualify for any help with food or heating assistance. www.couponmom.com

Go to the dollar store. I buy all my cleaning products, (dish detergent, windex, paper towels, plates, plastic ware). They have a ton of Holiday decor, it is really nice. Wrapping paper, tape, rubbon boxes. I think they accept coupons now.

I just buy store brands and sales; look at the unit price. Look for the buy one get one free.

Good Luck.
