MOPS - Idea's and Attendance

Hey, I am a coordinator for a MOPS group in Frankfort, Ky. We switched this year to using the MOPS curriculum and the response has been great. The steering team as a whole feels like we are feeding our ladies much better now than we did when we had random ideas for sessions. We started out with 37 ladies this year. But, like you, our numbers dipped during the winter months. "Who wants to go out in nasty weather?" I'll tell you what I told my ladies on the steering team. Although our numbers may be down...if we could have helped just one mom who walked through the doors, then we have done our jobs! Don't get discouraged...and keep up the good work!

This last year we started out with 21 moms (5 or 6 being on the steering team) and our group was restarted in Fall of 2007. We seem to start strong and then by Christmas down hill. We don't use our groups for bible studies but use the MOPS cirriculum as guide and tool. We've kept w/the theme this year and our steering team seemed to have great topics, guest speakers and ideas, but no moms. Our current steering team is disbanning this year and their are 2 other moms aside from me who are considering taking on the challenge. We are in dire need of help. I also run another mom's group, meetup.com/ycfabulousmomsnkids. our attendance is low as well and that is due to keeping it to the SAHM only and being selective. We are trying to make it a more organized group, similar to MOPS and not a free for all type of thing.
So your HELP and SUGGESTIONS would be appreciated.
