My OB-GYN recently put me on Femara for PCOS. My husband have been trying to conceive for five years on and off and I finally decided to get help to conceive. We have an 8 year old son, whom we had before I was diagnosed. I'm on my first cycle of Femara right now and we're really hopeful it's going to work. Has anyone had any luck with Femara or know anyone that has conceived while on it? Thanks :-)

Thanks Amanda! I've done quite a bit of research about it and as far as I could find it wasn't linked to any birth defects. I'm really hopeful it works though! I'm in my first cycle of it and wont find out for another week if it worked or not...keeping my fingers crossed! :)

I have two friends that also have PCOS! One of them was on Femara for a year and nothing happened after that she tried clomid and metaformin but they both gave her headachs and what not.. she was put back on Fermara after about 6 months of trying the other two and was PG on her first cycle...so it works but may take some time! You may want to read up about Femara a little.. it does have a possible higher incidence of birth defects but check with the FDA and your OB.
