5ths Disease

Hi In 2003 I found out I was Prego again after a misscarrage I was so excited and told EVERYBODY and when the time came to find out the sex of the baby went in for an ultra sound and found out its a girl I was happy but when the technition was looking at the screen he wasnt saying much and and I would ask him questions he told me that I had to save those for my Doc because he wasnt allowed to discuss what he was looking at well of course I started to worry that there might be something wrong! There was My doc called me back in the office the next day !! He told us that the baby had too much fluid in her body and that it was called FETAL HYDROPS which wasnt good by the explination he gave us didnt know how there was too much fluid in the baby but there was only a 25% chance that she would make it so he referred us to a diffrent Doc and looking at everything and it was more than he had ever seen before so he sent me to a Specialist that delt with this type of thing totally diffrent state and I had to wait a week before I could see the specialist and within the wait time I was walking around like a zombie and scared of what was going to happen to the baby. Turnes out when I got down there to see the doc he wanted an ultra sound and when we were in the room and the nurse was very quiet too about everything I guess she didnt quite know what she was looking at and then listened for the heartbeat and there was none!!! I immediatly started crying and the doctor checked me out talked to us and told us that I wouled eventually give birth to her and that we could induce then or come home and do it there or just wait tell she was due I was 5 months along!! we decided to just stay there and take care of everything there. I delivered her and she was beautiful even though you could tell her tiny little body couldt fit much more fluid in her body. They took her away and I told them to do an autopsy to find out the actual cause of everything. Had to wait almost a month to get the results back and it was the longest time that I had to wait for a test. when the tests came back thay had said that I had contracted 5th disiese while I was prego with her ! when your prego and you get it the symptoms are a scratchy sore throat aches and pains but some dont reolize they are sick with it sometimes there are no symptoms until the end of the contageous stage which is a rash all over the body but you see it on the face as if someone slapped you I had all those symptoms but didnt really think too much about it at the time but I did go ssee my doc when I got the rash on my legs and there was a cat that had rubbed against my bear skin on my legs and I just thought sense the cats fur was ruff that that was it and thats what the doc had said at the time ( wasnt my normal doc the doc aid) so after all that once you get 5ths then there is no way of getting it again so you wont pass it along to the baby. So in 2005 we were blessed with a baby boy healthy and the pregnancy was great and then in 2006 we were blessed with another boy healthy too and now in 2009 we are expecting a little girl and this pregnancy has been worrysome because she is due right around when our other little girl was due and the time has passed when she passed away in October and Im still in the mode that something might go wrong with this one which is to be expected but everything is going good with this pregnancy.
