Hi everyone! I'm new here and I came to Circle Of Moms looking for support after my husband and I suffered from a missed miscarriage at 16 weeks. In May of this year we were to surprised to find out we were a little over 4 weeks pregnant and would be expecting a sweet baby due January of 2013. Our first prenatal check up was at 7 weekday. We got to see our sweet baby and its beating heart that day on ultrasound. It was such a relief to see its heart beating and that everything was well. A few weeks later I fell extremely sick thanks to morning sickness and was hospitalized for a few days. After I was released the morning sickness seemed to decreased. I went back to my OB for a 10 week check up where we had another ultrasound and once again saw a healthy baby with a very healthy beating heart :) I went for my twelve week visit and heard the heartbeat on doppler and everything looked wonderful once again. Then I was put back on a regular prenatal check up schedule. My next visit was my 16 week check up which was last week, August 13th 2013. I noticed I had only gained one pound since my last visit. Once in the room my BP was checked and was good. After 30 mins of trying to find our babies heartbeat on ultrasound I was taken into ultrasound just to " be on the safe side" After a regular and vaginal ultrasound we were told the most devistating news. The baby that I carried for 16 weeks, the baby we had picked out names for and made plans for did not have a heartbeat & ultrasound revealed it hadn't grown or had a heartbeat since 12 weeks 3 days. We were completely devistated and lost! 4 days later I had surgery (D & C) to have our baby and contents removed from within me as for some reason my body was hanging onto this pregnancy. A week and a half later I'm still struggling. Has anyone else ever been through this?

So sorry for your lost! I had the almost exact same thing a few years ago. I hurt......it will slowly get better. I cried day and night. My two cent is don,t be afraid to love your angel that grew wing. Give it a name. I told her she is the best baby, never crys, never disobey lol. Missed miscrriage is more common than u think. Most are just random genetic error. It would have been worse for my bb to be born and suffer. And there is hope in the future when u are ready....I have a healthy 3 year old and a 2 months...no problem after miscrriage. In faca person said it could mean u can get pregnant and better than a lot of people out there. I thank God for giving me that experience so I can relate and share with others. I still have the hole in my heart but it turned into like a memory.

I had a healthy baby until I went in for my check up at 6months. Out of the blue they said she was dead and had been for about 2 weeks. I did not believe them because I felt movement up until the day before. I had to deliver Da'nue stillborn. Her passing hurts just as much as my other two children I lost. (at 3 and 15) Time does help with the pain. But you will always have a hole in your heart.
