Ok so here is my question.. I just had a miscarriage in August with what have been my 4th pregnancy, only 2 living.. I am trying to conceive again, and I have had normal regular periods every month.. Well, I am 5 days late on my period and have taken several pregnancy tests, and they are all negative. I have signs of pregnancy, but with all the tests being negative, its kind of getting frustrating to me. What should I do?

Is it still too early for a test to show even though it says 5 days before your missed period? I think that I may be pregnant, but I am also thinking that I may be setting myself up for failure, and my mind playing tricks on me cause I know how badly I just want another one..

I am starting to think the same thing as well... Maybe it is still way to early to tell.. But, I guess wait a little bit longer and find out that way!

Every child and every pregnancy is different :P Sometimes so much so that you'd swear it was the first :P
It is still possible that you're pregnant and just have low hormone levels, which is why I suggested the blood test :) It could be that your egg was late in implantation and so you're not as far along as you may think (hence, low hormone lvls) or any variety of things. The blood test is probably your best bet for a sure answer :)

Thank you so much Denikka, You would think that I would know the answer to this after 4 pregnancies, and 2 kids later!! But its odd, cause I have A LOT of the pregnancy symtoms, like craving foods and things to drink that I would normally NOT have, tiredness all the time, crampy, mood swings, and VERY frequent urination.. I think in all, I have taken 8 tests in the last week, some of which are the 5 days before your missed period ones, and they ALL have been negative. I think that if there is no period, or no positive test by Friday, then I should go see the doctor. I am just wishing that after all the heartache of the last miscarriage, that we finally are able to concieve with no issues. I never thought that getting pregnant again AFTER a miscarriage, would be so hard! But thank you SO much!

It's not too early to test, but false positives are significantly more common than false negatives. I would personally wait a week or so, and test again.
If it still comes out negative, go to the dr and ask for a blood test, which is MUCH more reliable than the stick tests.
Fingers crossed for you :)
