After two miscarriages my doctor suggested if we were going to try to get pregnant she would suggest I take progestrone. Has anybody taken progestrone and if so what were the results? I am also thinking about natural progrestrone which has some mixed reviews.

I used it for a while with my current pregnancy. I started bleeding at 5 weeks. I took the progesterone from 5-9 weeks. I stopped bleeding at 8 weeks. I was told at 9 weeks that the baby did not develop properly. After 6 ultrasounds, I know for sure that this baby is no longer with me. But since the progesterone made me stop bleeding, I have been waiting over 3 weeks to miscarry this baby. I want to do it naturally though...so it is just a waiting game.

My cousin was told, shortly after marrying his wife that she was unable to have children for the same reason... After a few miscarriages, they gave her the progesterone cream, and she now has 2 wonderful children, both full-term babies... They are now 4 and 2...

I took progestrone every week for 7months along with strict bedrest and 2 circlages. The proestrone made me moody, so does pregnancy, and I was hot all the time, also normal for pregnancy, but I now have a beautiful daughter,

I used progesterone with my second child. My daughter was born at 30 weeks and died of premie complications 6 weeks later. I then waited a year to try again. It took me another year to get pregnant only to miscarry at 8 weeks. So I went to fertility clinic and too progesterone after each ovulation until period or postive pregnancy test. I got pregnant four months later and carried full term. He's now 2 1/2 years old. I used the progesterone cream for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. I got pregnant a year after my first son with no fertility and no progesterone and have another son 10 months old.

I didn't have any noticable side effects. It was a little messy but not hard to use.

I had 3 miscarriages...put progesterone cream in every night for the first trimester and carried full term on my 4th baby. She is still an angel now because the doctor couldn't get her out. But I believe I had her because of that cream!

We had been using it. We gave up. I know I am not full of great advice. But first off we didn't get pregnant but my doctor wanted me to use it from suspected ovulation til either postive test or period came. It had some nasty effects for me, some night I would take it and with in 10 minutes it was like I drank a 12 pack. I would slur and stumble over things. Other nights it did nothing, but I also found too that it would change my moods making me more bitchy. It can be very beneficail especially if they are suspecting that your levels drop and then induce a period. natural progesterone can have just as good as effects from what I know. I know young living sells a good one. Oh also you can get hot flashes from it.

I have taken progesterone with my last pregnancy. It really seemed to work, the only thing that I didnt like is that it seemed to make my moods more unpredictable. But it was well worth it in the end.

After a 23 week premie that passed away and a miscarriage a year later, my doctor put me on it 20 weeks in my third pregnancy and now I have a beautiful daughter Lilith. I feel it was the reason I was able to carry her. She was still a premie but was far enough along to make it.

After a 20 week loss and 6 months later, a 6 week loss, my midwife put me on progesterone when we were ready to try to concieve again. It was a cream that had to be mixed (a compound) that I had to drive almost an hour to a special pharmacy to get. We did concieve, quickly, so don't know if the progesterone helped or if it was just our time. Good luck!
