Bipolar Video

I absolutely loved this video. We think my son is bi-polar and he's in counseling but they are reluctant to "label" him with bi-polar disorder. Right now they are treating him or depression and that has helped, but not enough. I see now I need to show him more love. Thank you for posting this video! I should add that I'm bi-polar and my son acts just like I did before I got on meds, but the therapists won't listen to me on that part! It's so frustrating and we live in a small town and this is the only Dr. we have available to tale him to.

OMGosh I can not stop crying. My son is 8 and just got diagnosed. It's so hard to see my child going through all of this.

today my 8 yr old son tried to kill himself,2 rears ago the dr told me he was bipolar.he takes his meds.hes in a hospital tonight and for some more days to come.im so sad. i work with him everyday to try and feel better.i feel so alone with this ,i cry and cry and pary to God.

that was a wonderful video. my daughter is thirteen and has bipolar disorder. there is so much that other people take for granted. thankyou for posting this video

me too, ive just done 1 for my son, well half of one, can't see anymore through my tears............just brings home how much I love him and want him to be ok but knows he won't without me, he has ADHD and a multitude of other things and I have Bipolar. We are both very strong but like today I am not, he is the reason I live whet will he do when ive gone? x Your video is so inspirational, I'm just having a bad day. xxx

I just watched the video and found it both helpful and encouraged. Seems like the majority people in the world don't believe that bipolar is a true disease no different than high blood pressure or kidney problems. I am so glad you shared that with us. It gives me some hope. Unfortunately, my 14 yr old has gotten himself in trouble with police already and he is now in Juvi until May 5. He was in a manic state at school and thought these guys were trying to hurt him so he brought his own homemade weapon to school. Then, he got into my controlled substance and then ran-away for 5 days. At least I know where he is. I just wish people could understand more about this disease

From what I could see of it it was a really good video. The words went by kinda fast so I didn't have much time to read them all but I really liked the video though. I have struggled with bipolar disorder for many years as well and there is a possibility my daughter may come down with it as well when she gets older. Check out this really great website I found that also helps people who deal with and struggle with all kinds of depression it's called Shaping Families and can be found at www.shapingfamilies.com. They deal with a variety of issues relating to depression.
