Yes! We just brought home our son J.Z. two weeks ago. He is almost 18 months now. We adopted through AAC here in Colorado. My friend and I started a Yahoo Korea adoption group which is private by invitation only. Contact me and I can send you an invite if you are interested in joining.

Just found this group -  I think it is great for adoptive Moms.  I have two Korean born children - my son is about to turn 21 and my daughter is almost 18.  Best thing I ever did in my life.

Love those little ones  - they grow up fast!

Our daughter was born in Korea. We adopted her through Pearl S. Buck International 9 years ago.

We also used Pearl Buck for both of our children!

Congratulations!  I bet you are counting down the days now!

We have 2 children from Korea.  Our son is 7 1/2 now.  He was 6 1/2 mos. when he came home.  Our daughter is going to be 4 in March.  She was 5 mos. when she came home.

We brought our son home from Korea in April. He is now 21 months old. We also have a four year old from China. Many families are still having escorts. We traveled to Korea personally and I am an advocate for travel.

Sara - tell your brother and sis-in-law to be persistent - it sounds like their little guy is doing a lot of grieving, maybe still feeling sick and the adjustment time takes much longer than it can appear. AND tell them to keep touching him in the face - but maybe not when he is taking a bottle. If he lets them hold him for a bottle that is good. Blessings! (by the way - my maiden name is Scott)

My brother and his wife just got back from S. Korea last Friday with their new boy - who will be one towards the end of December. THey experienced a very rough ride for new parents - with the time zone change and he came down with bronchitis and double ear infection. Things are going much better now and he is adjusting to actually sleeping at night already. Out of curiousity - did you have any problems with your son joseph with feeding him at first? My brother's little guy doesn't like to be touched in the face and I didn't know if there was a culture difference with feeding as well.

My husband's family adopted two girls from Korea back when you didn't have to travel. The babies were taken to the US and they met them at the airport. We also have a Korean foreign exchange student and our adopted daughter is 1/3 Korean.
