My little one will be a year in about a month and we are trying to wean her off the bottle, (we use the mead Johnson cleft palate nurser) anyway she does not want to take milk from the cup.Have you guys had anythign like that happen with your kiddos? Any advice?

Rylee's done well with the one feeding gone. Teh night one scares me the most. I feel for you. Let me know if you have any tricks. Did you try giving him a snack before bed. That's one thing my doctors off ice recomended for not sleeping through the night. Something like rice cereal or bread. I'll let you know if I find any tricks usefull. Let me know if you find somethign that works too. Good luck!

We are having trouble weaning our 13 month old off the bottle as well..nothing seems to work..we have got him off the bottle in the car but not at bedtime yet..i have tried letting him cry it out but that only makes it worse for me..any one else any luck with this??

Huh....I thought this would be easier. We are going to take away the afternoon bottle and replace it with milk and a snack next week. Wish me luck! :)

hi reagan, how're you? Leah is 20 mths now and was still having a bottle at breakfast and 1 at bedtime. i've tried all sorts of cups, straws and feeding things and if i give her milk in anything but a bottle she'd just hand it back and refuse to drink. ok, so now she is refusing milk even from the bottle and hasn't had any for about 5 days so i've had to increase all her other dairy. she will sometimes have some hot chocolate made with milk in a mug with a straw.
