i need some tips to help my son with the excessive ear wax he develops due to wearing a hearing aid??

my son is 2 years old and has a snhl in his right ear and wears a hearing aid, but because of the hearing aid he develops excessive wax in his ear which when there is too much the hearing aid constantly whistles and is effectively useless. i was wondering if anyone had any tips or ideas on a way to help clean them out, because as it is we are heading down to the doctors every couple of months to get the doctor to flush them out which is not a fun experience for either of us. please help if possible???

Check with his audiologist first of course, but I use Debrox ear drops to clean my daughter's ears out. Not all kids like drops in their ears and rinsed out so it may or may not work for him. Good luck!

my son (age 2) has a huge amount of ear wax build up as well (although he doesn't wear a hearing aid so you may want to check with his dr on this to make sure it doesn't affect the hearing aid) but our dr told us to put 2-3 drops of mineral oil in his ear when he's sleeping everyday for 5 days. this will melt the wax and it will drain out while he's sleeping. we do this once a month and it's insane the amount of wax that comes out!
