Ways to Destroy a hearing aid!!!

I am the proud mommy of a daughter who has a profound bilateral hearing loss. She has a cochlear implant on one side and a hearing aid on the other. I was changing her brother's diaper one day last week and I started to smell burnt plastic. In the toaster was two sets of Mr. Potato Head eyes, a set of doll shoes AND her hearing aid. I was more than a little upset to say the least. However I am sure that I am not the only mother in the world who has had this sort of experience and I thought we could share our stories and get a little humour out of a very upsetting (and expensive) situation.

Earlier today I fished a hearing aid out of the VCR. Thankfully, none the worse for wear.
