My daughter has struggled with depression and cutting since she was young. We had to put her in the hospital when she was 17 because she tried to kill herself.

When she was 18 she asked to go back to the hospital because she felt like she could not cope with reality. She felt like she might be hearing things and was afraid.

If he as cried out in any way you CAN get him help. You can also seek the advise of a minister or the like.

My daughter lives far from home but fortunately I have convinced her to communicate.

Thank You Gidgit for responding. I am at a stand still with my son because I do not know why he is depressed or angry. He has not cried out to me or anyone else either. Everyone is just guessing what is wrong with him. Some people have even opinionated that he may be schetsofrenic (sorry about the spelling). I just found out that from my ex-husband that he is supposed to be meeting with a Psychiatrist on the 13th of January 2010. I do not know how true this is because they have always lied to me about everything. I am going to try and be there in the same town on that day to find out if it was for real. I was told that there is a minister trying to talk to him and that all he has responded back was to say "My life was not supposed to be this way". This is all he has said to the minister (I was told). My son now lives about 240 miles away from me. I had him here but he kept threatening me and my family and getting in our face so I had to make him leave. I still have a 12 year old at home who needs protecting. Has your daughter let you know yet why she has been depressed all of this time or for any period? I too pray my son will one day let me know why so that we can help him and know what the next step is. I have been praying for him for about 3 years now constantly. I am tired but I will not give up. Thank You for your prayers you will not offend us by praying for us. Thank You Again! :>)
