How do I get my 8 month old son to share his toys and realize that other children's things are not his? he's an only child and he's use to getting everything he see

It is very common for his age group not to share, my daughter is 16 months and is an only child. She just started sharing her things with other children, but the other children's things are 'hers'. I guess it just goes with social skills, your son will learn to share eventually.
