My daughter turns 13 in April and whenever I ask her what do you want to do for your birthday she says "I don't know" . I want to do something fun and exciting you only turn 13 once. She is my only child so I want this to be extremely special for her. Any Ideas?

Maybe she would rather go away for the weekend and invite a friend or 2. We do birthday adventures in our house vs. parties. My birthday is the day after my sons. This year we are driving up to San Francisco. I don't know where you live but there are plenty of day trips you could do as well.

Another idea is a mall scavenger hunt with her friends. Break them up in to teams and send them on a scavenger hunt at the mall. Give each team a certain amount of money. They have to buy/find things like a napkin at a restaurant, certain color gumball from a candy store etc. Give them 1 hour to collect as many things as they can (but they need to stay together so at each location when they find something make them take a group photos and send it to you on their phone). The winning team gets a prize.

After they are done take them to a nice lunch out and sit at a seperate table (hey, they probably want to girl chat right?).

If she has close friends you could have a sleep over and hire a fortune teller to come to the house or someone who can do a jewelry class for the girls at night.

Have fun.

A spa party seems like a really really good idea for that age x

Big 13! So she's a teen now. I remember when I turned 13, I was so proud. Out of the baby years. Throw her and a small group of friends a spa party. add a limo ride. That's my idea, and my daughter is only 8. :)
