In WI, USA I have an 8 yr old daughter with Electron Transport Chain Deficiency (the doctors think that's what it is...) I agree with Pam - the hardest job I will ever have - taking care of my special needs daughter - but by far the most rewarding job!

i have a 12 yr old boy with CP and Autism, there is nuthin like being a mom of a special child! its the hardest thing u will ever do, but it is also the most rewarding.

Hello Margaret, My name is Christina and I lve in Melbourne Ar. My husband and I have two boys with autism spectrom disorders each at the opiset ends of the spectrum. The older one is fourteen and I don't think he ever stops talking and wondering around. Most of the time he is good and he likes to play video games. The little one is nine and doesn't walk, has little control of his bodily functions, and usually only talks to me in short incomplete sentinces. I think having the opertunity to talk to other people with special needs children is a good idea. Sometime you get to feeling like you are the only person in the world that has to deal with these types of issues.

My child had a brain injury, but has fully recovered after nine years. Maybe I can help? There wasn't any support when we went through our ordeal. Keep your chin up. : )

My daughter was born sept 2009 and was diagnosed with caudle regression syndrom and spina bifida, she is missing 6 ribs and only has one horseshoe shapped kidney, due to the spina bifida and shape of her legs I am told she will not be able to stand or walk.
