I was born this way, had many surgeries. It is amazing what is available. Check out Dr. Brad Keller, in Ft. Walton Beach. My son was born with clef lip, had surgery at a young age, barely has a scar. Is he having feeding problems?

Yes we did.... Phil is now 5 years old and has undergone four repair surgeries for his cleft lip and palate.. your baby's cleft lip and palate is almost the same as Phil's :0) Happy to help you, just email me... God Bless! :0)

My first born son had a total cleft palate but no cleft lip. He had plastic surgery at Children's Hosp it Washington DC when he was 17 months old. I can't help you with the lip, but I understand about the palate.

Hi Stacey, I have 12 and 1/2 year old who was born with a very wide, in fact one of the widest his doctors have ever seen, unilateral cleft lip and palate. We have had multiple surgeries. I would be happy to answer any questions I can and just chat if you want.

My 8 1/2 year old daughter was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. She also has a genetic syndrome called Bohring-Opitz syndrome. This is a tough time for you, but you will get through it and love your son all the more for it! I'm happy to answer any questions! Gina

My son, now 13 had a bi-lateral cleft lip and full cleft palate. He has had 6 operations now on it, with a fantastic result. He still has some food leakage from his nose and speech problems. The bone graft, we did that recently, went really well, and soon we'll be doing the braces thing :)

my little monster pants has a cleft lip and palate from womb. we found out when i was 6 months pregnant. it was hard, but we have a great team of doctors. both the lip and palate are repaired, but there are still things that come up, like how his teeth are growing in, speech etc .. but i wouldnt trae anythng weve been through. and im always happy to chat about it ifyou wanted

My granddaughter was born with downs syndrome, a defective heart & cleft lip & palate!!! Her heart has been repaired. She had her lip repaired first, then her palate later and they do such a wonderful job these days. She is now 5, going to school and doing well. I'll keep you in my thoughts & prayers and I'll be happy to chat any time.

my daughter just turned a year old she had a bilateral cleft lip and palate. She had her lip repaired in April and is going this wednesday (22nd) to get her palate repaired.
