my boy is 7 1/2 months old.He used to take bottle really well but its been couple of months he stops taking bottle feeds. All he wants is a breast feed.I have tried expressing milk and feeding him but he likes that for a couple of times in short that thing doesn't work aswell.i spoke about this problen with his doc and she said that it could be behaveriol. What she asked me to do is express milk and give the bottle to his father and see how it goes but doesn't even take it from dad.During the day he is taking solids and breast feeds but during the night he is waking up every hour crying for milk.Any idea how to get him back to bottle feeds so that he can have a good night sleep.Thanks.Pardon my english.

I too would suggest trying different bottles and nipples or even sippy cups. Also try giving him a good feed of pablum before he goes down for the night, it might help him last at least few hours. Do you let him cry for 5 or 10 minutes when he wakes up to see if he'll go back to sleep. Sometimes it's not hunger at all and they just needs to learn to go back to sleep on their own.

Have you tried different bottles? Myson and dqughter would only take from tommee tippee bottles, closer to nature. These helped with going between breast and bottle feeds as they are shaped to be more like the breast. Also do the taste test if you plan to use formula milk, to find the one that tastes most like your breast milk. Just another thought, have you tried the night time formulas, they have some rusk in them which keeps baby full for longer! Hope this helps! x
