Hello. Someone once told me that diapers/Pull-Ups can be covered by insurance due to disability. Is that true?? My son has CP and almost 4 and we have tried several times to putty train him but so far no luck. I look for all the signs of him getting ready to go, but I have not yet found any. I tried putting him on potty every 15 minutes and he somehow manage to go in between.

Does anyone know if diapers/Pull-Ups can be covered by insurance? Well, we have Medicaid, so we would like to know if they can be covered by Medicaid? If so, how can we get that covered??

Also, if anybody has any suggestions on how to potty train kids with special needs, any suggestions is appreciated!!

Thanks,

Ai

that's a good question, I'm glad to hear that medicaid covers the cost of diapers. So, do I just bring it to the pharmacy counter of any stores, so that it gets paid like that ?

Call any diaper service and just give them your medicaid id # and they will do the rest. I have used HDIS. I had no problem with their diapers, but I have to change vendors because I do not like the quality of their pull ups. The company I am checking out is Behrens Southern Comfort. All of them will send you a sample to try. But yes the cost of diapers should be the least of your worries. Medicaid definitely pays.

I think they are for special needs children, but it *might* vary per state. Ask your pediatrician as he, or she, ought to know, and can write a prescription.

Yes it true but also if you have a government benefits allowance you might be eligible to get nappies or pull ups funded .
