My 2 boys are diagnosed ASD although oldest is now believed to be Aspbergers (all those years of no speech and now he wont stop!!)

The only way to survive is develop a very thick skin and a sense of humour. Dont look at other "normal" children and think " I wish" cos it wont change a thing.

My boys are great, and although lots say they wouldnt change their children, I truly wouldnt, although Id love to take a peek inside my little ones head and get ust the slightest insight of what the heck is going on there!!

Both boys are fulltime school, one is mainstream and the other is MLD. They both love it and are doing well.

if I could just meet every mom with a special needs child.. I would just love to say stop looking and wishing for what you dont have. It makes things hard to accept. I say cry when you have to fight all the time for your children. And please dont think all kids dont have needs. thats why we have jails. I work in a nursing home I see people that have so call 4 and 5 normal children who dont want them or only one visit them. so I dont wish for what I dont have god knows best..
