My 2 boys are diagnosed ASD although oldest is now believed to be Aspbergers (all those years of no speech and now he wont stop!!)
The only way to survive is develop a very thick skin and a sense of humour. Dont look at other "normal" children and think " I wish" cos it wont change a thing.
My boys are great, and although lots say they wouldnt change their children, I truly wouldnt, although Id love to take a peek inside my little ones head and get ust the slightest insight of what the heck is going on there!!
Both boys are fulltime school, one is mainstream and the other is MLD. They both love it and are doing well.
