my son has a right hypoplastic kydney, it works 24%, it also has refulx, i was just wounder if any other mother is going throgh the same thing as me, and what i may have comming to me??? he is 7months old!!!!

My baby has Vacterl syndrome.and for his kidney he was taking antibiotic to prevent infection.I am not sure about anything to prevent reflux.

wow thats amazing to picture how the body works like that, tay. is he relatively healthy otherwise? what type of treatment is he recieving now and what did they do to prevent more reflux?

My son has a right hypoplastic kidney and it doesn't work at all.As per his renal doctor its no good to have a hypoplastic kidney and reflux could make it even worse.My son's kidney is shrinking now which is good for him.Although his left kidney is perfectly fine and functioning all alone, and the left kidney is supposed to be growing bigger than usual.My baby is just 4 months old.

Not sure what this means but i know that my 8 yr old daughter has constipation which has led to the lack of ability to completely empty her bladder which led to recurrent uti's then we got together with nephrologist who did renal ultrasound and found one of the kidneys is swollen on the bottom so there may be urine being blown back into the kidneys. we r trying to clean her out with mirilax but being unsuccessful.

My son has hydronephrosis of the kidneys and is now in complete kidney failure, he see's a nephrologist every week as well as other specialists for multiple problems from feeding to peeing and developmental delays, being a mother of a special needs child is hard but you remaining strong is the key for u as well as your child..

My son's left kidney has hydronephrosis and we don't know the cause yet. He wet the bed at night until 8.5 years, and got a kidney infection 2 weeks ago. He got an ultrasound the next day per my request because he should never have a kidney infection, and they found it. We see a nephrologist next Thursday to determine cause and damage and treatment.
