If your child has Noonan, when did they get their teeth?

Hello there! My daughter was just recently diagnosed with Noonan Syndrome. I am awaiting the blood work to confirm it. It sure would explain a lot of things, so it's kind of a bittersweet feeling. She has pulmonary valve stenosis and is very small (17 lbs at 16 months old) and has low motor tone in her mouth. She also has no teeth yet. Curious if your child has Noonan when they got their first tooth. I've taken her for x-rays and it looks like they are all there. Thanks.

Hi Samantha, I have a 9yo boy with NS. He also was delayed in getting his teeth around the 18mth age. If you have had the extra and they are there try not to worry. Just means that when they come through they will be in for longer. My son has only lost about 6 teeth were as my 6yo has lost 10 teeth. Just make sure you get her checked regularly at the dentist as NS kids can have problems with their teeth. Kathy
