Ladies I need your help....you can check out the pictures on facebook if you like. March 2 the tornado destroyed our home in crittenden, ky . We (Tyka in her wheelchair, myself, and her sister Samantha) were in the hallway( Tyka's wheelchair wouldn't fit in the closet). Her wheelchair was filthy but fine. I need to find out where and how to get a new stroller base for a Columbia Car seat a friend gave her . Tyka's has yet to turn up and the van went for a few rolls during the tornado and won't even turn over so transporting her has not been easy.

Our home was also destroyed by a tornado last year on July 1. We're still not back into our house, but close. I hope one of these groups is able to either replace the base for your child's chair, or have a whole chair available to replace it. Also, ask groups like United Way, and depending on her diagnosis you can ask MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) or other groups for specific disorders.

Try asking on this group. It is big and deals with equipment that people need to sell, trade or give away. I am so glad that you are all ok. You were very lucky. Did you have insurance? They should replace it for you. Hope this site helps.
