I use the special tomato stroller. I usually go to www.adaptivemall.com to find strollers. they have good selections that are reasonably priced. Good luck!

I have mild CP and when I was younger I had a Convaid Cruiser for long distance walking, My physical therapist prescribed it but then I grew out of it and now I have a wheelchair.

Hi , my son has exactly the same problem and we uses a chicco stroller unfortunately although we have used it for so long we were unable to find a substituent in the same range . I think its not a good idea to get another stroller because you will only use it for another few months and then you'd face the same problem . If i were you id invest in a special need stroller you will use it for years and years i found one on especial needs.com that Adam will be able to use until he's around 16 years old . I wish you luck and i hope you will find something very soon .

we have 2 maclaren major elite pushchairs one that we bought off ebay, and one we got through the wheelchair clinic at school as we have a son with slight cp (8yrs) and the other one (5yrs) with severe developmental delay, they are great but do take up a lot of room in the car We have gone from a citroen piccasso 7seater to a vauxhall insignia.

I have a wonderful stroller for my daughter...it is made by convaid and is special made for your child ours has all terrain wheels cause we walk a lot and I did not want a wheelchair for my daughter...look up special needs pushchairs they have all kinds

Do you have any incurence that will help pay for a stroller? My son has Childrens Special Health Care and they covered his stroller. We went to Mary free bed rehab hospital and they measured him, and we got to pick the stroller that we liked best.Even tho it is big and 2 pieces, and a pain to put together it has made things so much easyer when taking him somewhere! I love it. We got him the Jazzy Easys. It will grow with him for a while, and has a nice head rest (they call it a mickey mouse head rest) I dont know if that stroller will work for you guys or not. It even has a tray, a canopy and a stand for in the house! Its a very steep price tho, almost 6 thousand dollars!!!! Crazy for a stroller!

Before you melt over the price - realize that mediciad (assuming you are on the medicaid waiver since your child is special needs) or else your insurance should cover it. Do you have a Physical Therapist that your son goes to? They should be able to coordinate getting this stroller.

I have a Bob with the swivel wheel on the front. My son 6 is over 48" now and can still fit in it. Son has mild co and is fully functional. It is sturdy enough for both my kids at the same time. I had the older style on our farm outside for 5 years of hard use and was still in good enough shape to hand down to a friend. BOB is a great company you may be able to talk with someone at the company if you need help with modifications. I have had good luck buying used on eBay.

I have used two different brands of jogging strollers, and both were great. one was a baby jogger, and I need to check the other one (bought it used). They take up a lot of room in a car, but are easy to fold. Still use them occasionally with my huge six year old twins with autism.

I worked at Toys R Us until 3 years ago. They had a jogging stroller that should work but I am not sure of the price now. If you can not get one of the others that the moms said were good look at them if you can. i think walmart had so to

We have the Maclaren Major Elite Umbrella stroller and the weight limit goes up to 110 lbs so our 3 year old with CP will be able to use this for a long time.

Our insurance paid for a Konvaid Kruiser because of the cp. Another stroller is the Maclaren. They have a special needs umbrella stroller. There is also a nice jogging stroller that is in the adaptations catalog and on their website. Insurance should cover that.........what insurance do you have?

Hi what about a mclaren major buggy they great 2 push u can get them free of wheelchair services u can also buy loads of accesories for it iv got a 3 year old little boy with Retts syndrome it's great 4 him.
