Hi Paula, my son was born with bilateral cleft lip and palate. he had no nostrils and most of his gums were on the outside of his face. i'm not sure what you're going through but hope you get the support you need. send me a note if you want.

My son was born with a cleft lip, it has been repaired a long time ago, but I still remember the looks he used to get and I know how it feels. Give me a shout if you want!!!

My son has DiGeorge Syndrome and he had a heart deformity when he was born (which is fine now) but now we're discovering he has problems with his pallate... not sure exactly what yet. He's almost 20 months and doesn't talk at all yet.

I'm not sure what your child is dealing with but my son also has cerebral palsy and had a cleft of the soft pallet when he was born (he was also premature). Whew, what a nightmare that has been. ((HUGS)) I hope you find the help you need.

Hullo Paula, one of my twins as cerebral palsy. she's a hemiplegia which means the one side of her brain is damaged - the left side. As a result the right side of her body is affected i.e high muscle tone and problems with fine motor skills. she's only just started walking and she's 3 years old, but a very determined and tenacious 3 year old!!! What disability/deformity does your little one have? With a situation like ours, it really helps you emotionally if you accept it because then you're able to be more patient with your child and when he/she manages to eventually reach a milestone, it's so exciting. Anyway let me know. Warm regards
