He has ADHD and MID. I don't medicate him. Any other moms in this situation? I live in Ontario, Canada.

I live in B.C. and have a 13 year old with ADD and severe learning and memory issues. He has been on Strattera for a couple of years and recently has asked to be taken off of the medication. It took me a long time to give in to medicating him. He just got so far behind in school and socialization that we couldn't not try. The medication helps his memory and some of his impulsiveness, but not enough to sedate or change his awesome personality. Is there a particular reason to not medicate? Is he managing without?
