Has anyone had any success in potty training a child with sensory processing disorder? My son is 6 and we're waiting for a 2nd MRI of his spinal cord to make sure that he doesn't have a tethered spinal cord (my brother-in-law was born with it and our son has signs that it may be that). We aren't sure but if it does come back fine I have to look into the idea that it's his sensory processing disorder that is causing the lack of the urge to go to the bathroom. He's in 1st grade at the local school and doing well but I know as he gets older this will change as kids are not as tolerant of kids that aren't the same as them (especially one wearing diapers).
