Quoting Rosie:

That is awesome! Our family belongs to a special needs ministry called "In His Image" through Highlands Church in Scottsdale, AZ. We've only been there a year and I cannot begin to tell you how blessed we are to have been led to Highlands. Our oldest has special needs and it is awesome to be able to drop her off on a Sunday morning and know that she is being LOVED on by the volunteer. They know how to make her feel that she belongs. Special Needs children have a 6th sence! They know when people are frustrated with them. So this has been nice for us. Plus, to know that our daughter will get to KNOW God in a safe environment just pleases us so much!

That's terrific!  Unfortunately, our special kids (as well as adults) are a grossly underserved population in the church.  I'm glad there is a place you feel at home.  Please feel free to check out our blog at:  http://comfortinthemidstofchaos.blogspot...  and share it with others if you find it useful.

Blessings,

Barb Dittrich
