how old is this teen? I know I would want to know if my child were using drugs, but how well do you know the parents? I know that one of my daughter's friends uses drugs but the girls parent's are in major denial or they just choose to ignore it. I talk openly about using drugs with my daughter and the things that could happen to her if she were to use them. My daughter is 16, almost 17 and I have also informed her of what could happen if this girl was in her car and she had anything on her then she could be held accoutable also. I guess I feel that I can only hope that as I let my child have more freedoms, I trust her judgement. My daughter rarely hangs out with this friend and she has told the girl that she will not tolerate being around that kind of thing. This is a very touchy subject and depending on how well you know the parents will most likely determine what will occur when they hear the news.

Call them or send them an email (or message on FB). If it was my child, I would want to know.
