ADA Summer Camp

I have a 10-year-old daughter who was diagnosed w/diabetes about a year ago. This year she has registered for ADA Diabetes summer camp. She is so excited and cannot wait. I think it will be great for her, but I would be nervous about her leaving for an overnight camp for 6 nights even if she didn't have diabetes. Have any of your children attended a camp? Were they as happy with their experience as the testamonials I have read on the ADA website?

My son is going on his 4th summer of Diabetes Camp, He LOVES it.. The doctors, and counselors, and everyone else there are very supportive and will teach your daughter alot in the process. I was a little nervous at first especially since the camp is nearly three hours away from my home, but what my son learned outweighs anything else.. I hope she has a good time there.
