My son had the last day of registration for his Spring Semester and ended up with classes he didn't want. 16 credits of large lecture classes... AND he has take a no credit 5 day a week algebra class because he is horrible in math and has to pass it before he can take other classes. I am worried that he is going to be so miserable and that he will feel like failure.

My daughter started with Community College. I know, no one wants to start there. It really helped her with her confidence that she could do this. Got all of her basic courses at half price & paid by Pell Grants. She is now at the UL at Lafayette & doing well. She started with a Major in English & now in her first semester with a Major in Pre-Med. Has a 4.0 average & she hated math as well. She got herself a friend who was good in math & he tottered her for free. If he can make friends with someone in that subject he is fearing it may help him in the same way. They all want to succeed so they may be able to help each other. Good Luck to him.
