I have been on it 2 mos now and nothing. I know 2 mos is short and these are not magic pills. But I have not come across anyone yet who has gotten pregnant from them

Hi, I was diagnosed at 15 with PCOS. I'd never had a proper cycle so my mother helped me to get onto the pill which of course brought my cycle to normal. I had several ultrasounds and blood tests over the years to confirm by different doctors and they had said i would def have trouble conceiving.
After falling in love with an amazing man and getting engaged at 19, we decided we would both love a bub. My doctor reffered me to a specialist and i was told to lose weight after again i had an ultrasound and blood test to confirm PCOS!... My doc also suspected endometriosis. I lost 16 kilo's in two months and was put straight onto Clomid to help me ovulate more regularly (as my last period was 21 months apart... not good for conceiving ay???)
I recently also started diaformin/metaformin. My periods are back to around the six week cycle so im ecstatic.... fingers crossed for the bubba now!
I've talked to many differnt women and i personally know 3 women who have beautiful babies from Clomid!!! This keeps my positive and that is the most important thing i think!!!
Stay Positive girls!!!!!

Hi I didn't know I had PCOS till I was trying to conceive with my current partner and I wasn't getting a period, went and saw my DR and he referred me to a gyno and he did an internal scan blood tests and the rest and got the results and told me it's going to be hard to conceive again. I was only 18 and a half when I fell pregnant, I thought I was doing the right thing by going on the pill to prevent getting pregnant but because I had PCOS and didn't know it reversed the effect on me and made me fall pregnant. I tried the same pill that I was on back then but it didn't do anything. now my son is 4 and a half strong and healthy and I just want 1 more baby and will be so happy. Been trying Metforman, Clomid, Provera but nothing seems to be working and I am getting more and more depressed.

Yes, I have a clomid baby born back in March. 2003! It took me several months, hang in there! Most important thing is relax, and let your body do it's thing. Trying again now and on Met, 1000 mg/day. Just started a couple months ago and have no side effects. Everyone reacts to the Met differently. All you can do is try it and if it is bothersome at first, take it with a meal, or at night.

My dr said that Metformin has too many side effects. I dont know. I am thinkin about getting another dr. He confuses me. He says I have PCOS but my ovaries look normal, like a woman w/o PCOS and I have pains in my lower stomache he cannot explain.

Have you tried metformin? I am currently starting it and I am no expert but I have a friend who had a hard time getting pregnent and she has pcos. She uses metformin when she is trying and has had success with it, she has a beautiful little girl. She has had a long hard road of trying to have children and has had great losses along the way but metformin has worked for her so I have all the hope in the world that it will work for me. I'm so sorry that you are having such a hard time getting pregnant, trust in God, he makes the impossible, possible!

Yes, I did. My gynecologist gave me that exact combination for a couple of months and it didn't work, but then he referred me to a fertility doctor and the dr saw in an ultrasound that my egg wasn't big enough to drop, so he said I needed to take a bigger dose of Clomid. Also, I had to have a shot in my thigh or stomach the day before I needed to ovulate for the pregnancy to work. I got pregnant on the 2nd try.

I took Provera the first month and then metformin and clomid for 6 months before I finally got pregnant with twins. It's frustrating but it just takes patience.

Are you still not allowed to take any meds? I got pregnant on Provera and Clomid on the 6th month of taking them. I hope everything works out for you :)

Update on the pains: They seem to be coming from nowhere. I had an ultrasound and my dr said my ovaries look normal. As in normal for someone who does not have PCOS. That is weird I think

You should only be taking the Provera to bring on your period to start your clomid cycle. Then the clomid should do it's thing. If after taking the clomid you still haven't ovulated and gotten a period (or become pregnant) your doctor may have to increase the dose you are taking of the clomid or maybe try femara. I was on 150 of clomid for it to work (days 3-7)...50 did nothing.
