Well I thought we had "Sucessfully" gone off the acid reflux medicine. However Lilly had been pressing on her tummy right under her ribs quite a bit for a week or so, we tried going back on her Omeprazole & she has not done it since.
(3 days)
She has actually been eating like a champ since we weaned a few weeks ago! & gained a little wheight! We had our 15 month check up & she had not dropped off the growth charts, so that was good news! Our doc says she can just drink rice milk instead of the $50 a ttub neocate Junior I was buying that she would barely drink. She chugs the rice milk, so I know she will be getting more calories in the end.

Your situation sounds simlar to ours except our 13 month old is on nutramigen. Our ped. recommended keeping him on the reflux meds until after weening him to whatever milk we decide to put him on. Once he is stable with the milk, then we can start trying to ween off the meds.

So maybe give the rice milk a month or two, then try backing of the meds and see how that goes.
