Did anyone else get a spate of weird circle requests?

Unless I talk to someone regularily I don't approve any requests and YES, I've had my fair share of what look to be WEIRDO'S....this one chick named Kati Brown keeps sending me requests! From everything I've seen I'm a lil' scared....how bout you? ;)

You can't block users on here until they try and contact you, and thankfully they never bothered me after I ignored them or reported them. I have firefox and Norton and all the things to protect me from viruses and unwanted e mails but that can't stop them on here - it wasn't anything too bad really - it was just a bit strange and annoying.

oh how weird can you not block them thankfully my firefox deleats all incoming emails like that try firefox i think you can do a free download to start off.totaly i think there should be sex free zones on internet why carnt you opt in and out of theses things.

I had one which I stupidly accepted then realised she was not what she seemed, so I changed my profile picture. It's very strange; what makes someone thing "well I don't have kids but I might have a go at picking up some bi women in an online mother's forum" Some of their profile pictures are just revolting too!

Gillian, you can change your COM profile picture without changing your FB, I think there is an option under your picture on your COM profile.

If they don't look like they have any kids then you should pass their details onto management - otherwise ignoring them is probably the best thing to do.

@Sharon, I quite like the thought of being a dominatrix - especially if I could get paid to make someone else do the housework- I don't like the thought of fat men in tight little outfits though but if I could get to hit them with a stick or whip it might not be as bad!!

Ive had them and reported them and those women are now gone of COM.
I tend to for some strange reason get lots of requests from strange people, on COM , FB and lots when i was playing Zenger poker too
Im always approached by strange people in person to though maybe i should change my deodorant lol

Suzette that was like the one's i was getting. They make like no posts or conversations and just have all this hot mum sexy mum stuff. Maybe the is some hidden group we dont know about and they want us in lol

I just got one today Gillian! I have NO idea who the woman was, I've never seen any of her posts before, and her profile was spammed with crap posts from other people about being sexy and all this other crap. I didn't report her, just ignored the request. I haven't had any others though, weirdness!

I've got 48 or 52 requests, I only look at those who send a personal message with their request. The rest are ignored and stock piled for my amusment.

Yeah i do but i think its because i MOD the wtcom page , ive never even bothered looking at their profiles i just ignore .

I've gotten just one strange request. I simply ignored it. I didn't look at her profile so I don't know if anything was fishy about her. But if I get another strange request, I'll look into it and let you know.

I've been thinking of changing my profile picture for a while, the one I have now is a few years old and was taken at a friends wedding. I just wanted a good one for my FB profile but maybe I should put up a more recent one - that should scare off any unwanted attention lol!!!

Yeh it was the bio mums thing that got me thinking they were using it as some sort of dating site - I got a pm saying that I was very beautiful. Each to there own and all that but there's a place for that sort of thing and I don't really think COM is that place!!

Yeah i got them! I was even sent hot mama ones lol It was really weird lots of them were saying they were in some type of bi mums group or something.... Then i was sent heaps of pms and they were really strange.....

Honestly though, I saw a few of them. Weird. I get a lot of requests from people ALL the time, and I am sure it is because I am a Mod on the Welcome Page. I just ignore most of them. I would only EVER accept when it is someone I have been hanging out with in a community for quite a while and have some trust in.

Yes, there are plenty of places for these people to go, I don't understand why they feel the need to come here. Maybe the dating sites are a bit too obvious now (and Lord knows I met some freaks that way too....).

Who knows, but I think the general message is to just be cautious. I think some people just invite ANYONE to be in their Circle, and accept anyone too.
