How old is your oldest child???

My son is 12. He was my sweetheart. My best kid. Somewhere along the lines he changed into someone that I don't always like. He fights with his younger sisters(9 and 5), picks on them, won't listen, won't do what I ask or tell him to do. He's 12 but acts like a 2 year old!! How can I let him stay home on his own when I can't trust him to be mature enough? From what I hear he is acting normally, sigh.

Kindergarten is more of a refresher course from what the kids learned in pre-school. My daughter started kindergarten this school year and everything that they have done so far is the same things she learned in pre-school. But where we're from pre-school is an option and the kids don't have to start until kindergarten

My oldest has just turned 13 - he's very much a teenager, argues about everything, doesn't listen, moans if he has to do chores, wants to play on the x box all the time, drives us totally nuts at times but can also still be a really sweet kid and can surprise us with the things he does to help us or his siblings - he's always been a rather difficult child so not sure if it's all down to be a teenager. My second oldest is 10 almost 11 and is turning intoa right moody cow at times but she can also have wonderful patience with her youngest brother unfortunatley not so much with her 5 year old sister. She is a very clever and sensible girl at times though and is almost like a mini me - she can keep my oldest and my hubby in check if I'm not there lol!!!

I guess. I havent heard it stated quite like that. But I guess it would be. We have pre-school and then they start kindergarten. They are required to go to kindergarten but not pre-school. So I take that back. They start kinder at age 5. And then first thru 12th Grade. But it is broken up. K-6th, then 7th & 8th, then 9th thru 12th. Then hopefully move out. HA HA
